Ollie Batelier-Belton - Managing Director and NZIF registered member

Ollie provides expert consulting advice as one of the top ETS experts in the country. A pioneer in the New Zealand’s emissions trading industry with over 15 years’ experience, Ollie is a member of the Government’s ETS Technical Advisory Group. Ollie holds a Bachelor of laws (LLB), and a Bachelor of Arts (BA). Ollie is also a registered member of the New Zealand Institute of Forestry.

Adrienne Marsh - ETS Team Leader
Registered Forestry Adviser

Adrienne is responsible for carrying out forest assessments, managing ETS applications on behalf of clients and leading on the management of emissions returns every year. A creative at heart, Adrienne used to be a designer in sustainable fashion and has looked deeply at how to incorporate sustainable practices at every level.

Mathilde Batelier-Belton - Director and General Manager
Registered Forestry Adviser

Mathilde oversees the running of the company. She is passionate about anything related to the climate and has specialised in carbon markets and climate change policy both in the public and private sectors during her career in the UK. Originally from France, she obtained two masters from top European universities focusing on how economic and market-based policies can both support and inhibit sustainable development.

 

Suzanne Rex - Finance and Office Manager

Suzanne is in charge of running finances and the office. She focuses on strengthening the team through system and client management, project coordination and streamlining processes. Originally from Scotland, she studied a BSc in Ecology. She’s deeply interested in climate change and has extensive experience in administrative and financial work.

 

Hamish Foxwell - Field Team Lead

Hamish joined the team as Field Leader in May 2022. His role is focused on coordinating and undertaking fieldwork all across the country and ensuring that our FMA programme is running smoothly and on time. Hamish graduated with a Masters in Conservation biology and has a BSc in Environmental Science. His background is in fieldwork and designing biodiversity monitoring for Victoria University. He’s passionate about contributing to restoration projects.

Cameron Johnson - Carbon Analyst

Cameron joined the team in 2022. Cameron’s role evolved from doing solely field work to supporting the team on all things relating to the ETS and carbon modelling. Cameron has a BSc and MSc in Ecology and Biodiversity.. Cameron is passionate about bringing New Zealand to a carbon neutral point through large scale restoration and conservation of flora and fauna.

McRae Smith - Carbon Analyst

Originally from the United States, McRae joined the team in 2023. His role is to support the ETS team to process all things ETS, including application, removing and adding land and field work. He received a BSc in Forestry from the University of the South in Sewanee TN. He has a background as a forestry technician and is particularly interested in native habitat restoration and forest ecology. McRae is grateful for the opportunity to help Aotearoa move towards a carbon neutral future.
