Ollie Batelier-Belton - Managing Director and NZIF registered member
Ollie provides expert consulting advice and is one of the top ETS experts in the country. A pioneer in New Zealand’s emissions trading industry with over 15 years of experience, Ollie is a member of the Government’s ETS Technical Advisory Group. Ollie holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA). Ollie is also a registered member of the New Zealand Institute of Forestry.
Adrienne Marsh - ETS Consultant - Team Lead
Adrienne leads the team for all ETS Operations. She oversees forest assessments and registrations, manages ETS applications, and annually leads emissions returns. A creative at heart, Adrienne used to be a designer in sustainable fashion and has studied how to incorporate sustainable practices at every level.
Mathilde Batelier-Belton - Director and General Manager, NZIF registered member
Mathilde oversees the company's operations and staff. She became a Director alongside Ollie in 2022. She is passionate about anything related to the climate. During her career in the UK, she has specialised in carbon markets and climate change policy in the public and private sectors. Originally from France, she obtained two master's degrees from top European universities, focusing on how economic and market-based policies can support and inhibit sustainable development.
Suzanne Rex - Finance and Office Manager
Suzanne is in charge of running finances and the office. She focuses on strengthening the team through system and client management, project coordination and streamlining processes. Originally from Scotland, she studied for a BSc in Ecology. She’s deeply interested in climate change and has extensive experience in administrative and financial work.
Hamish Foxwell - Field Team Lead
Hamish joined the team as Field Leader in 2022. His role focuses on managing and undertaking fieldwork across the country and ensuring that our FMA programme runs smoothly and on time. Hamish graduated with a Master's in Conservation biology and a BSc in Environmental Science. His background is in fieldwork and designing biodiversity monitoring for Victoria University. He’s passionate about contributing to restoration projects.
Cameron Johnson - ETS Consultant
Cameron joined the team in 2022. His role evolved from solely fieldwork to more comprehensive ETS Operations, specialising in carbon modelling. Cameron has a BSc and MSc in Ecology and Biodiversity. He is passionate about bringing New Zealand to a carbon-neutral point through large-scale restoration and conservation of flora and fauna.
Sinead McAllery - Senior ETS Consultant
Sinead joined the team in 2024. Her role focuses on resolving the most complex issues in the ETS and carbon forestry for our clients. Sinead brings a rich and diverse background in risk management and analytics, having spent the last five years working in the public sector. She contributed her broad expertise to the EPA's ETS Operations team, where she oversaw regulatory compliance and emissions reporting for the ETS. Sinead holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies. She is looking forward to using her passion for data to help analyse environmental policy and market mechanisms in the carbon forestry space.
McRae Smith - Carbon Analyst
Originally from the United States, McRae joined the team in 2023. His role is to support the team for ETS operations, including assessments, emissions returns and the occasional fieldwork.
He received a BSc in Forestry from the University of the South in Sewanee, TN. He has a background as a forestry technician and is particularly interested in native habitat restoration and forest ecology. McRae is grateful for the opportunity to help Aotearoa move towards a carbon-neutral future.
